This is where I started. 🥰
This little Sony camera kickstarted my journey as a photographer and, believe it or not, laid the foundation for my business today. As a scrapbooking enthusiast, I was drawn to its dual photo and video capabilities - perfect for capturing those priceless family moments - which I appreciate so much more now.
While the video features were great for recording family memories, it was photography that truly captured my heart and got the most use. Little did I know, this was just the beginning of my love for visual narratives.
As my skills grew, so did my vision. I found myself craving a different look and feel in my photos that this trusty companion couldn't quite deliver. Though there was an attachment available, I realized my passion was evolving.
After careful consideration and research, I made the leap to a DSLR to align with my future goals. What a moment that was. ✨
This camera may not be my go-to anymore, but it holds a special place in my heart. It's a reminder of how far I've come as a visual storyteller, first in photography and later in video (my love for video kicked in around 2014!).
It's amazing to see the unexpected paths our hobbies can lead us down.
Fellow visual storytellers, what was your first camera? I'd love to hear your stories!
