For 2024, you have decided to integrate video into your marketing strategy, and congratulations for that! Here, we're going to go over six video trends that are expected to dominate the industry when it comes to videos.
#1 - Vertical Videos
We're going to be seeing way more vertical videos. We can just pull out our phones and record a video - the video could be for TikTok, Instagram, or any other platform that we are putting our efforts into. It will be well accepted because of its vertical format. However, do plan your videos and do wipe that camera lens!
#2 - Silent Videos
Trend No. 2 is silent videos, and what does that mean? That means that you're offering your viewers the option of listening to the video or reading captions in the videos. Over 90% of viewers watch videos on mute, so captions are going to be even more important to incorporate in your videos.
#3 - Short-Form Videos
Dominating social media this year, short-form videos, often under three minutes, quickly engage users on platforms like TikTok, YouTube and Instagram. It's important to note that it creates awareness for your brand and your channel.
#4 - Live Streaming
Live streaming, is one of my favorite video marketing strategies. Live streaming generates a lot of engagement. You can then use that pre-recorded content and repurpose it across different platforms. Amazon, Meta and TikTok are all focusing on real-time content that's engaging and authentic.
#5 - AI Assisted Videos
AI-powered tools have revolutionized video creation by shortening the time it takes to create and post a video. From script creation to editing, and even generating voiceovers, stock videos, music, and images.
#6 - Long-Form Video
Studies show that videos that are longer than 15 minutes account for 50% of all video engagement, despite only making up 8% of the content. This means that although short video clips may grab the viewer's attention, longer and more in-depth videos have a greater impact on the audience.
These are the trends you can expect to see in 2024. Which one of these will you be using? I would love to know. Leave me a message in the comments!
